Amy is a leading expert in art business, visual arts management, creative entrepreneurship, and innovation. She serves as an assistant professor of Visual Arts Management in the Department of Art and Art Professions at New York University Steinhardt School. Previously, she taught art business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and developed courses on business as a design medium at School of Visual Arts, Rhode Island School of Design, and Williams College. Whitaker was also the first entrepreneur-in-residence at the New Museum Incubator.
