Anita is a social media strategist, digital advocacy leader, and expert in grassroots engagement. As Director of Social Media and Blogging at MomsRising, she develops and leads innovative social media campaigns that amplify policy initiatives, drive community engagement, and inspire grassroots action. Working across the organization and with external partners, Anita has helped integrate social media strategy into every major campaign, expanding MomsRising’s reach to millions of people across multiple platforms and building diverse, influential online communities. Her digital advocacy efforts have also generated significant earned media coverage and strengthened partnerships with policymakers and advocacy groups. Anita holds an AB from University of California, Berkeley and a JD from American University Washington College of Law, where she focused on women’s rights, human rights, and social justice.
