Erin is a public policy expert and leader in economic mobility and family financial security. At The Pew Charitable Trusts, she directs initiatives focused on improving financial well-being and expanding economic opportunity for individuals and families.

As the lead for Pew’s research on household finances, Currier collaborates with leading experts, oversees comprehensive research programs, and helps translate complex findings into practical insights for policymakers, stakeholders, and the public. She has testified before state legislatures and the U.S. Congress and is a frequent speaker on issues related to financial security, wealth building, and economic mobility.

Previously, Currier led Pew’s economic mobility project, fostering bipartisan understanding of the factors that influence opportunity in America. Before joining Pew, she served as Acting CEO of Women Work! The National Network for Women’s Employment, where she advanced policies and programs designed to strengthen economic security for women and families.

Recognized by National Journal as one of Washington’s most influential women under 35, Currier holds a master’s degree in Public Policy and Women’s Studies from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan. Her work bridges research, policy, and advocacy to promote greater financial resilience and upward mobility.
