Jo is a British education author and Professor of Mathematics Education at Stanford Graduate School of Education. A leading expert in mathematics education, she champions evidence-based teaching, maths education reform, and equitable learning environments that help all students succeed. Jo is the CEO and co-founder of Youcubed, a non-profit organisation providing innovative maths resources for K–12 teachers, parents, and students. She has written seven influential books, including What’s Math Got To Do With It? and The Elephant in the Classroom, which offer practical strategies for improving maths teaching in schools across the UK and US. Her award-winning Experiencing School Mathematics received Britain’s Outstanding Book of the Year in Education. Jo also serves as Research Commentary Editor for the Journal for Research in Mathematics Education.
