Meredith Kopit Levien is the president and CEO of The New York Times Company, where she leads one of the world’s most influential news organizations. Since becoming CEO in 2020, she has driven significant digital growth, nearly doubling subscriptions while expanding the company’s journalism and product portfolio. A key architect of The New York Times’ digital transformation, Kopit Levien played a pivotal role in the success of products including Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, and The Athletic. Previously, she served as chief operating officer and chief revenue officer, overseeing subscriptions, advertising, and digital products. Before joining The Times, she held senior leadership positions at Forbes and Atlantic Media. Kopit Levien also serves on the boards of The New York Times Company and Instacart and is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
