Ted is a policy entrepreneur, author, and climate advocate best known as the founder and former CEO of the Climate Leadership Council, which promotes a carbon dividends framework to address climate change. He also founded New America, one of Washington’s leading public policy think tanks. A recognized voice on environmental economics, Halstead organized the landmark 1997 Economists’ Statement on Climate Change, signed by 18 Nobel laureates. He is the author of The Radical Center and a frequent speaker and contributor to publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Financial Times, Fortune, The Atlantic, and Harvard Business Review.
