Claudia is a Mexican leader in foreign affairs, digital inclusion, and women’s empowerment. She serves as Executive Director of the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (COMEXI), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to analyzing foreign policy and fostering understanding of economic, social, and cultural issues in Mexico.
She is also the founder of Mujeres Construyendo (“Women Who Build”), a pioneering online community that amplifies Spanish-speaking women’s voices and promotes digital participation across Latin America and beyond.
Previously, Calvin-Venero served on the transition team of former Mexican President Vicente Fox and held senior roles in his administration, including Director General of International Activities and Gender for former First Lady Marta Sahagún.
A graduate of USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, she also worked with foreign correspondents in Mexico representing major international publications, including the Los Angeles Times and the The Miami Herald.
